Customer feedback
From original wheels to season-ready complete wheels with summer or winter tires – you’ll find the perfect parts for your Porsche Cayenne here. The following feedback from real customers shows how smooth shopping on OR24.de really is.
19 and 20 inches on the Cayenne – this is how it looks
The difference between small and large wheels or complete sets becomes clear when comparing 19-inch and 20-inch versions. The 20-inch variant has a larger rim size and tire width than the smaller 19-inch version. The latter, however, has a higher sidewall.
When properly matched to the vehicle model, smaller wheels can generally be used on any Cayenne – from the Cayenne 955/957 to the latest Cayenne 9YA. Thanks to their excellent road grip and high ride comfort, they are suitable for both summer and winter. Visually, however, they are less striking than larger wheels.
Original Porsche wheels in 21 inches or 22 inches highlight the Cayenne’s sporty and elegant design. They are particularly popular during the summer. These sizes also offer excellent cornering performance at high speeds. Although wheels of this size are also suitable for winter driving, Porsche does not approve the 22-inch version for winter use. This is important for maintaining coverage under the Porsche Approved Warranty. In addition, large wheels provide slightly less ride comfort compared to smaller ones.
The part number: Proof of original wheels
Original Porsche wheels are characterized by premium materials, precise craftsmanship, and a unique design. In our shop, you can see for yourself that you’re purchasing one of these masterpieces. On the inside of each rim, you’ll find a specific part number along with a stylized triangle containing a “P.” The part number consists of digits and letters and uniquely identifies the wheel as a genuine Porsche product. In our shop, the ID number is listed under “Wheel details” in the product description. It can be found on the product page for your Cayenne 9YA, Cayenne 9YA II, or another model.
Perfect for every season: 19 and 20 inch wheels on the Cayenne
When choosing the right wheel size, both appearance and ride comfort play a role. For your sporty Porsche Cayenne, you can choose between 19-inch, 20-inch, 21-inch or 22-inch options. The two smaller sizes are especially popular, as they can be used all year round.
Porsche Cayenne wheels in 19 inches deliver maximum comfort in both summer and winter. Compared to 21-inch or 22-inch versions, they have a larger sidewall, which offers better cushioning. Especially in wet and cold conditions, 19- and 20-inch wheels provide excellent traction.
Another advantage of smaller wheels is their lower wear sensitivity. On snow-covered or muddy roads, original Porsche Cayenne wheels in 20 or 19 inches not only offer stable handling – they are also less prone to damage from curbs or other obstacles. If you drive your Porsche Cayenne often in the colder months, this can save you money in the long run.
Accessories for your new Cayenne wheels
It’s the fine details that turn your Cayenne into a fully rounded luxury SUV. When buying your new wheels or complete sets, be sure to consider the matching accessories. In our shop, you can conveniently order additional products for your original Porsche wheels in 19 or 20 inches. For example, choose an extra set of center caps with the iconic Porsche design or a set of wheel bolts with theft protection. We clearly list the matching accessories on each product page.
In detail: Dimensions of wheels and tires
You can find the exact measurements of the item under “Wheel details” on the product page. For complete wheels, additional information about the tire size is also listed. Here’s how to interpret the numbers and letters:
Example wheel size: 8.5J x 19 ET47
- The first number indicates the rim width (also called rim flange width), in this case 8.5 inches.
- The letter “J” specifies the rim contour used for passenger cars.
- After the “x” comes the rim diameter in inches – here, 19 inches.
- “ET” stands for offset – the distance between the centerline of the rim and its mounting face.
- The number after “ET” indicates the offset in millimeters – in this case, 47 mm.
- The first number before the slash indicates the tire width in millimeters – here, 255 mm.
- After the slash is the aspect ratio – the height of the tire’s sidewall as a percentage of its width – here, 55%.
- “R” denotes radial construction, and the following number is the inner rim diameter – here, 19 inches.
- The next part, 111V, is a load and speed index. “111” means a load capacity of 1,090 kg per tire, and “V” indicates a max speed rating of 240 km/h.
- “N0” is Porsche’s official tire marking, indicating tested and approved tires for the Cayenne 9YA.
All these details are listed separately in the product description for the front axle (FA) and rear axle (RA).
Mixed tire setups with 19 and 20 inch Cayenne wheels
As a symbol of automotive innovation, the Porsche Cayenne is designed for agile cornering at higher speeds. A mixed tire setup can improve handling and stability in such scenarios. Important to know: this does not mean mixing different wheel sizes. The rim diameter must be the same front and rear – for example, 19 inches.
The term “mixed setup” refers to different tire widths front and rear. The rear axle usually features wider tires. This offers key advantages during acceleration, as most of the vehicle’s load shifts to the rear. With wider tires, the contact patch increases, improving grip on dry roads.
Everything about the tire!
You can freely choose whether to order the original Porsche rims in 19 or 20 inches individually or as a complete wheel set. The advantage of a complete set is that the tire is already mounted on the rim. Both components form a perfect unit so you can get the most out of your Cayenne.
Porsche Approved Warranty
Whether Cayenne 9YA, Cayenne 958, or another model – if your vehicle is still covered by the Porsche Approved Warranty, the correct wheel and tire combination is essential. This is the only way to maintain your warranty claim. With original Porsche Cayenne rims in 20 or 19 inches and approved tires, your warranty remains valid in every season. However, the 19-inch version is not approved in combination with the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB).
The “N” marking
The “N” marking is how Porsche identifies high-performance tires that meet the brand’s strict quality standards. For the Cayenne 9YA, this includes N0 for both summer and winter tires. Tires with this label offer the highest standards in safety, craftsmanship, stability, and performance.
Typical tire brands
To ensure the Cayenne’s raw engine power translates perfectly to the road, Porsche only partners with carefully selected tire manufacturers. Summer tires are sourced from leading brands like Pirelli, Bridgestone, and Yokohama. For winter, Continental and Michelin also provide high-quality, durable options alongside Pirelli.
