Terms for the tire warranty
1 Subject of the tire warranty
1.1. The tire warranty covers only the tires listed on the sales invoice of Original Räder 24 GmbH, provided they are sold with a minimum tread depth of 4 mm and an age of less than four years from the manufacturing date (DOT number), and Original Räder 24 GmbH expressly grants a tire warranty at the time of sale. The tire warranty expressly does not cover rims or other wheel parts such as fastenings, suspension, brakes, etc., but only the tire itself.
1.2. The tire warranty is granted free of charge.
1.3. There is no entitlement to a tire warranty when buying a tire from Original Räder 24 GmbH. The tire warranty arises only if it is expressly agreed and granted at purchase from Original Räder 24 GmbH together with the sold wheel and tire packages.
2 Scope of the tire warranty
2.1. In the event of an unforeseen tire breakdown caused by external impact (only tire damage from driving over/against an object incl. curb, puncture by a sharp object, and tire blowout), the beneficiary receives:
a) Repair of the damaged tire is possible:
(1) If the repair is carried out by Original Räder 24 GmbH:
Credit note for repair costs to fix the damage up to max. €100 incl. VAT. No cash payout in any case; if the repair costs less than €100, only the actual repair costs are credited.
(2) If the repair is not carried out by Original Räder 24 GmbH:
Credit note against the original purchase price of the damaged tire (sales invoice of Original Räder 24 GmbH) in the amount of the repair costs up to max. €100 incl. VAT. Payout of the credited amount to the beneficiary requires submission and sending of the repair invoice from the repair shop with proof of payment to Original Räder 24 GmbH.
b) Repair of the damaged tire is not possible:
Credit of an amount per damaged tire according to the table below, based on remaining tread and tire age (manufacturing date – DOT), overall max. €500 towards the price of purchasing a new tire from Original Räder 24 GmbH:
| Remaining tread | Reimbursement | Max. age |
|---|---|---|
| over 7,9 mm | 100% of purchase price | 12 months |
| over 7,0 mm | 80% of purchase price | 24 months |
| over 6,0 mm | 60% of purchase price | 36 months |
| over 5,0 mm | 40% of purchase price | 48 months |
| over 4,0 mm | 20% of purchase price | 60 months |
2.2. A further requirement for benefits under Sec. 2.1.b) is that if the old tire cannot be repaired, a new equivalent tire (same model) is purchased exclusively from Original Räder 24 GmbH. The amount to be credited under Sec. 2.1.b) will then be offset/credited against the purchase price of the new tire(s). This offset/credit applies only to the tire price, not to any additional services such as mounting, shipping, etc. There is never any entitlement to cash payout, even if the credited amount under the table (Sec. 2.1.b) exceeds the purchase price of the new tire(s).
2.3. All benefits under the tire warranty always apply only to the tire(s) damaged by a warranty event, not to undamaged tires, even if they are on the same axle and/or must be replaced due to different tread depth resulting from repair or replacement.
2.4. Benefits under the tire warranty are excluded in the following cases:
- Tire damage when the vehicle is used by an unauthorized driver
- Intentionally caused tire damage
- Tire damage due to war, war-like events, civil war, revolution, rebellion, uprising or acts of authority, internal unrest, earthquakes, nuclear energy, nuclear radiation or radioactive substances
- Tire damage due to design, manufacturing or material defects
- Tire damage due to normal wear, premature wear, aging or soiling
- Tire damage for which a third party is liable as supplier (manufacturer or dealer/specialist workshop), contractor or under a repair order
- Tire damage covered by the manufacturer or specialist workshop under warranty or service
- Tire damage caused by weather effects
- Tire damage arising during tire mounting
- Tire damage or loss due to theft
- Tire damage or loss due to vandalism
2.5. Benefits under the tire warranty are limited to the benefits stated in Sec. 2.1.
2.6. Benefits under the tire warranty become due once Original Räder 24 GmbH has completed its assessment of eligibility and benefit amount, and the beneficiary has provided all required evidence (in particular proof of purchase for tires sold with tire warranty) and answered all questions and provided all information necessary for the assessment.
In this context, the beneficiary is in particular obliged to report any tire damage to Original Räder 24 GmbH without delay, keep the damaged tire until inspection and assessment, document the damage clearly (especially by photos), and provide any required information.
If the beneficiary does not comply with these obligations, the warranty benefits do not become due. In this case, Original Räder 24 GmbH may set a reasonable deadline to complete the outstanding actions, together with notice that the warranty benefits will lapse if the deadline expires without the beneficiary fulfilling their obligations. If the beneficiary still fails to comply within the deadline, the warranty benefits for the affected case lapse.
3 Beneficiary of the tire warranty
The beneficiary of the tire warranty and the sole entitled party to the benefits granted under the tire warranty is the contractual partner of Original Räder 24 GmbH when purchasing the tire sold together with a tire warranty.
The tire warranty and warranty claims are not transferable. Claims to benefits under the tire warranty cannot be assigned.
4 Warranty period
The tire warranty runs for one year from the date of the proof of purchase of the tire sold with a tire warranty. An extension is excluded. The tire warranty expires automatically after one year.
