Reforestation and resource-conscious handling of wheels at Original Räder 24

The handling of resources and natural areas is an important task. In many sectors, emissions are generated and at the same time forest areas are being lost that play a key role for soil, water balance, biodiversity and local climate. That is why we at Original Räder 24 want to show transparently what contribution we can make and where the limits of such measures lie.

Our business model relies on already existing original rims, tyres and wheels and tyres. We offer both new and used products, which are inspected, described and, if necessary, reconditioned depending on their condition. This allows the service life of existing products to be extended. It can save resources, because not every demand requires a newly produced product. In addition, we support tree plantings through an external partner. The plantings do not offset emissions from production, transport or use and do not make a purchase climate-neutral. They are a voluntary additional contribution, documented transparently via tree certificates and location information. Our customers can also take part – either through a tree donation or by consciously buying existing and inspected products.

Tree plantings as a voluntary additional contribution

We want to take responsibility where we can implement concrete measures in a traceable way. That is why we combine our range of new, used and reconditioned original rims and wheels and tyres with the option to support a tree planting through an external partner. The focus remains clear: making meaningful longer use of existing products and transparently documenting additional tree plantings.

A planted tree can absorb CO₂ during its growth and support habitats. How great the actual effect is depends, among other things, on tree species, location, care, growth and long-term preservation of the planting area. That is why we do not present this measure as an offset for specific emissions, but as an additionally documented contribution to reforestation.

Together with our partner, we support tree plantings in Germany. The implementation is documented via tree certificates. This way it remains traceable that a planting has been commissioned and to which location it is assigned.

With Your support, we commission a tree planting through our partner. Every contribution helps to finance additional plantings and makes the implementation traceable via a certificate. The actual ecological effect develops in the long term and depends on location, care and tree growth.

As soon as a planting or a project section is completed, further tree plantings can be supported through the partner. This creates an ongoing project in which every single tree donation is documented.
