The part number on OEM Mercedes rims: Proof of authentic rims

Buying Mercedes rims online is a question of trust. In our shop You can easily verify the authenticity of products Yourself. This is possible using the part number, which is listed in the product description. The part number is a specific code that unambiguously assigns a rim to the OEM manufacturer. It is usually stamped and found in or next to the wheel hub, on the inside of the rim edge or on the inside of the spokes.

Mercedes part numbers always begin with the letter A. This is followed by a ten-digit numerical code that varies depending on vehicle type and rim design. An example is A213 401 2200. Similar parts for the same Mercedes class begin with the same number but differ in the subsequent digit sequence. Thus each rim carries a clearly identifiable code – whether for the Mercedes E-Class W213 or the AMG model E63 W213.

This is only partially indicative of compatibility between vehicle model and suitable rim, as there are exceptions. An example is E-Class convertibles and coupés of the 238 model series, which were built based on the 213. They are compatible with rims from the number series A213.

While all part numbers are proof of OEM Mercedes rims, only certain models additionally carry a colour code such as 7x21 (Himalayagrau, glanzgedreht) or 7x23 (Schwarz, glanzgedreht). In relation to the previous example, the part number in this case would look as follows: A213 401 2200 7x21.
