The Part Number: Proof of OEM Rims
-
As a unique combination of modern sportiness and luxurious elegance, your Porsche Cayenne deserves top-class rims in flawless condition. Only OEM Porsche rims meet this high standard, which you can recognize by the part number. All rims in our carefully selected range are marked with a verifiable identification number. OEM rims are not only a matter of quality and aesthetics, but are also essential for benefiting from the Porsche Approved warranty for your luxury SUV.
Except for facelift variants – such as the Cayenne 9YA-II – the first three characters of the part number always refer to the internal model designation. For the Cayenne 958, for example, it begins with 7P5. This alphanumeric code is located on the inside of the rim, where it is stamped or cast. Your advantage as a customer: The part number allows OEM rims to be clearly identified and easily distinguished from counterfeits and replicas. Instead of relying solely on our word, you can verify the authenticity of the Porsche Cayenne rims and wheel and tire packages in our online shop yourself.

In our shop, you’ll find individual aluminum wheels and complete wheel and tire packages in hand-checked quality for summer and winter. Find the right inch size for your vehicle model, choose between a rim or a complete wheel, place your order – that’s how easy it is to buy OEM rims for your Cayenne.
The best inch sizes for summer
Summer is the ideal season to highlight the distinctive look of your powerful sports SUV with large rims. OEM Porsche rims in 20 inches or 21 inches are, for example, the perfect addition to the Cayenne 958 Turbo S. If you drive a version of the Cayenne 9YA, you can also opt for the even larger 22-inch option.
Regardless of size, all OEM Porsche rims are masterfully designed, precisely manufactured, and rigorously tested. You can always rely on flawless quality with the models in our shop. The choice of the right rim size for summer therefore depends more on your aesthetic preference. Keep in mind that as the inch size increases, driving comfort decreases.
| Model | Inch size |
|---|---|
| Cayenne 955 | 17 - 20 inch |
| Cayenne 957 | 17 - 21 inch |
| Cayenne 958 | 18 - 21 inch |
| Cayenne 9YA | 19 - 22 inch |
| Cayenne 9YA Coupé | 20 - 22 inch |
| Cayenne 9YA II | 19 - 22 inch |
| Cayenne 9YA II Coupé | 20 - 22 inch |
The best inch sizes for winter
The same applies to different inch sizes for winter: with OEM Porsche rims, you always make the right choice if you value top quality. In the cold season, the weather is often wet and cold, so good grip is important. You’ll find this more often among smaller inch sizes. For example, with 18-inch or 19-inch rims on your Cayenne 955/957, you can enjoy maximum driving comfort even in rain and snow.
Another advantage: Smaller inch sizes are less prone to wear and therefore better protected against damage, which is more common in winter. Whether these robust, comfort-enhancing dimensions meet your visual expectations is for you to decide. Finally, snow chain approval is an important factor when choosing rims for winter. Not all inch sizes are suitable for snow chain use.

With just a few clicks you can add them to your shopping cart.
In Detail: The Dimensions of Rims and Tires
The parameters of a rim contain crucial information about its construction. As a standardized designation, it always follows the same order and consists of numbers and letters. We explain which data you can read from the rim parameters.
Example of a rim designation: 9J x 20 ET50
- The first number indicates the rim width in inches, here 9 inches.
- The letter J indicates that it is the rim flange profile for passenger cars.
- The number after the x refers to the rim diameter in inches, in this example 20 inches.
- The abbreviation ET stands for the offset, meaning the distance between the inner mounting surface of the rim and the wheel center.
- The number after ET shows the offset in millimeters, in this case 50 millimeters.
Rule of thumb: The greater the offset, the more the rim sits inward – and vice versa. You can find the parameters of the original Porsche rims for your Cayenne under “Rim Details” on the product page.
Mixed tires on your Cayenne
On the product pages of our original Porsche rims and wheel and tire packages, the rim designation is listed separately for the front axle (VA) and the rear axle (HA). For the Cayenne, the inch sizes are the same front and rear. The difference lies in the tire width, which is always greater on the rear axle.

Porsche Approved Warranty
With the Porsche Approved Warranty, you enjoy unlimited driving pleasure while maintaining the value of your vehicle. During the agreed term, the warranty protects you from unexpected repair costs and provides you with exclusive service from a specialized service team. To maintain this privileged status, your Cayenne must, among other things, have the approved wheel and tire combination. In addition to rims in original Porsche quality, this includes the use of tires with official approval.
The “N-marking”
The so-called N-marking is used by Porsche to designate premium tires that meet the highest demands in terms of stability, performance, and driving pleasure. This special marking is reserved for tire models from established manufacturers. Together with original Porsche rims, they form an important component for fulfilling the conditions of the Porsche Approved Warranty in the event of a claim. The N-marking starts with the letter N, followed by a number indicating the vehicle type. For the Cayenne 9Y, this is zero, so the N-marking here always begins with N0. You can find out what other N-markings exist on our detailed page about the Porsche tire approval.
Typical tire brands
Delivering a unique driving experience without compromising on safety – this requirement is built into every Porsche model. The car manufacturer demands the same high level of excellence and precision from cooperating tire suppliers. Therefore, it is typically well-known brands such as Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin, Yokohama, and Continental that are used together with original Porsche rims.
